"I look good"

Joe has asked me to post this picture. He told me "I look good in that picture...are you going to put it on your blog?" He's so modest. Feel free to leave comments for Joe about how good he looks! I sure think he's hot stuff. We went to an Air Force Induction Dinner together a few nights ago.

The Day has come

Wil and Natalie had their 1st day of school today. They are in an afternoon Pre-K class. They were so excited to get backpacks and supplies. Their teacher, Mrs. Smith is very kind, Natalie snuggled right up to her. The only thing that got Wil in the classroom was the fish tank. Mrs. Smith told me he stood by the tank most of class and would not listen to her. Well, I'm just happy he went in. We'll see how tomorrow goes. Danny and I went to the dollar store and the grocery store. It was great! Danny and I have many happy days ahead of us.

Birthday Boy

We celebrated Joe's 34th birthday on Sunday. Saturday night Joe and I went out on the town and then we all spoiled Joe all day Sunday. It was fun. We each had 2 or 3 pieces of ice cream cake. I love Joe's birthday. I love Joe too.

Summer Vacation 2009

My brother Wil came home from his mission this last week and we were lucky enough to be able to go visit him and my family. He gave a very bold and inspiring talk at church about the Restoration of the Gosple of Jesus Christ. I loved it. My Sister, Debi, also spoke. I was so proud of both of them. It was a special meeting to be at. Joe and I also celebrated our 12 year anniversary. It was fun to be with my family for that. We went to dinner at Floridino's, our family favorite. For lunch Joe and I took the kids to the Rain Forest Cafe'. They loved the fish and animls, but they hid under the table when the rain storms came. I loved seeing my family even though it was a short visit.

After our time in Arizona we took a detour on our way home to the mountains of New Mexico. We stayed in Ruidoso for 3 nights. We had a lot of fun taking the kids fishing and doing what we do best, EATING! The kids swam in the creek near our cabin, built a fort out of sticks, and enjoyed all the exta time with Dad. The most memorable part of the trip was when we woke to the sounds of a bear trying to come through our front door at 4:00am. Joe scared him off with a few powerful yells. The next morning on my run there was a bear stuck in a dumpster.

We never did catch any fish,

but we had fun trying.

Happy 4th!

We started our day with a ward flag raising cerimony and breakfast. We spent the rest of the day riding bikes, eating good food and of course watching fireworks. The sun goes down late here and the fireworks did not start until 9:30. We intended on going down to the lake for a big firework show, but there were so many other people headed the same direction that we decided to just stop on the side of the road to watch. The kids were so tired they hardly watched and the cars were buzzing by. It was still a lot of fun and a great fireworks show.

The sun was in her eyes, Dad's sun glasses helped.

We had a back yard water party on the 3rd with a few friends. Joe had a lot of fun soaking the little kids with waterballoons and a water gun. He was the life of the party.

Summer Fun

Father's Day. We had fun giving Dad a special day, see his new tie! Grandma Ramsey, Natalie wanted to point out that she has her white kitty in this picture. Thanks for sending it back, she couldn't live without it.

We have been to the pool a lot and the kids have come a long way with their comfort in the water and swimming skills.

Texas Wild Flowers

We have tons of wildflowers here in Texas this time of year. I remember loving them when Joe and I lived here years ago. Back then a friend of mine had taken pictures of her children with the wildflowers. I always loved that idea, and now have the chance to take pictures of my own children with the wildflowers. The flowers in these pictures are just down the street from our house in an open field with a river that runs through our neighborhood. It is very hard to get three young children to look at the camera and smile.
